The Slomski Brothers opened up for What Time is it Mr. Fox and HUMANWINE at Club Passim last Saturday. It was my first time seeing both the Slomski Brothers and What Time is it Mr. Fox; they were both really well put together.

The fine folk at Truth Serum Productions invited me back to photograph TraniWreck: GOLD IV at Club Oberon last weekend. A few samples:

For more information about TraniWreck, check out Truth Serum Productions‘ page. They’re back at Club Oberon on September 19th!
Cirkestra, Copal, Milquetoast & Co, and others gathered to put on a benefit show for Robin Ryczek, a local cellist who’s headed to Afghanistan to teach at the Afghanistan National Institute of Music.

Hayley Jane and the Primates played at the Middle East Upstairs. It was a great show (and my first time at the MidEast) but the stage lighting left a lot to be desired. You like B&W, don’t you?

Jaggery has just released a lovely new album, “Upon a Penumbra“. The release party was unlike any show I had been to before. Not only was it a wonderful performance, but much of it was also in the dark because power went out. That didn’t stop Jaggery from playing, and I don’t think a single audience member left either.

Judging from the timestamps on my photos (what, you thought I stopped shooting just because it was almost completely dark?), the first time power went out it was down for only about 5 minutes.

And then power went out again.
For about 40 minutes.
The show must go on (lit by cellphones)!

Then, another first for a Jaggery show – Mali went crowd surfing! I don’t have photos though, because I was busy holding her up… I’m sure there are some out there though. Right as she landed on the stage again, lights came back on.

The Vadalna Tribal Dance Company held a fundraiser last weekend at the Central Square YMCA theatre. It was my first time in the theatre so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the lighting was pretty decent!
Do I even need to mention there’s a gallery with the full set of shots? N.B. some of the shots in the gallery may be somewhat risque (depending on what you think of as risque).
